John's tenure in the IT industry spans over twenty years and covering a range of activities from software engineering and enterprise architecture to business development and global infrastructure deployment.
He has extensive international experience having undertaken long-term assignments in the United States, France, Italy, Ireland, Hong Kong and Malaysia, as well as his current base, Austria. In addition to English, John is fluent in German, Spanish, French and Italian.
John has been responsible for defining and driving the technical strategy at some of the world's largest corporations. His most recent specialization has been the pragmatic introduction of several emerging technologies including cloud computing, mobility, next-generation-networking and virtualization.
He is well-known throughout the industry as the published author of five books and a frequent speaker at conferences, such as RSA, ISSE, Microsoft Tech Ed, Exchange Connections and the HP Technology Forum.
